My Story

Porter Head Shot - MediaI live my life primarily in service to others. I truly believe the Zig Ziglar quote, “You will get all you want in life, if you help enough other people get what they want.”

Almost as good as the Golden Rule!

For too many years I had a J.O.B. working in technology  both in the military contractor and commercial worlds. For those who remember the Bosnian conflict, the US military wouldn’t fly relief missions into the country until the cargo planes had been outfitted with the advanced countermeasures system we had just developed. Can’t say I feel like I had as much impact on humanity with my commercial jobs but it was all pretty exciting and I learned a LOT over the years.

My last job, before I left the J.O.B. confines in 2014, was managing three uniquely different operations:

1) Dell’s Technology Partner Certification Program,

2) Big Data Analytics Center for the Dell Solution Centers,

3) Latin America Solution Centers in Mexico, Panama and Brazil.

It was fun but time to move on.

Before leaving Dell I had begun investing in single family rental properties. I evolved that to include flipping homes as well.  I loved the transformation from run down to beautifully desirable and the fact that I helped people get good housing at a decent price. While all this fueled part of my passion it wasn’t spot on.

My desire for many years was to get into multifamily housing. I wanted to provide quality housing at affordable pricing that impacted more people than I could serve doing single family rentals. I just didn’t know how I could afford that.

Enter an investor training group  for multifamily a couple years ago! Had no idea what I could do. But thanks to them I now own apartments and have exited the single family market entirely. The economy of scale far exceeded my expectations.

So that began to fulfill part of my passion. But health and wellness have been a focus for me for most of my adult life.  Early in my career I joined forces with some doctors on a research project. Based on their input, I wrote a computer program to analyze blood chemistries.

We took a standard blood test and some physical patient data and came up with nutritional recommendations. We had about 1000 doctors whose specialties ranged from internal medicine to general practice to psychology participating.

The patient results were phenomenal … no miraculous! Here’s an example: In 8 weeks we successfully improved blood chemistry much more than a doctor had managed to improve in over 2 years. Not that we knew more than the doctor we just had better tools.

I really wanted to commercialize the process but I lacked the medical and nutritional knowledge.  Unfortunately the doctors were on to their next thing.   :.(

It was quite an education on the impact nutrition has on our overall wellness as well as the decline in nutritional value in the food we have to eat. It basically intensified my interest in health, wellness and now nutrition. It also made me a believer that to maintain near optimal health we have to supplement.

That brings me to where I am today. Still growing and learning every day.

In my research I have learned that essential oils; natural healing products from plants, many of which we eat every day; are perhaps one of the most powerful tools we have available to heal and supplement our bodies. That has lead me to find what I believe to be the most tested and highest quality oils from a company with unsurpassed integrity, dōTERRA.

I am so impressed with dōTERRA and their products that I have started a company inviting others to join me in my pursuit of wellness. I help people throughout the world improve their health and, if they desire, to build their own business helping others to do the same.

THIS WORK IS MY TRUE PASSION!
